Google. It’ll find you. But sometime’s that’s a good thing.
KSQD radio’s Mathilde Rand (along with her producer) does a twice-monthly show called “Exploring Santa Cruz”. She decided to look at “Highway 17” in her broadcast, so she web-searched the topic and found me, my “Highway 17” tune, and author Sally Grey (“Jack of All Trades”).
Last Monday, we spent a fun half-hour trading commute horror stories and learning a bit about the history of the windy road that connect Santa Cruz to Silicon Valley. Here’s the entire interview.
Ironically, the show and interview took place the day after Daylight Savings Time began, which is always a hellacious time to be on the road. (The sun rises late after you leave the house, and it sets right about the time you’re leaving work…which always makes for a wreck or two on the way home.)
Of course, we’re still in the post-2020 world of light commutes and Zooming In Place. It’ll be interesting to see if that sticks as things continue to open up.
Big thanks again to Mathilde for the fun chat. And thanks to you for taking a listen. 😉
