I hope the new year’s treating you well so far. We’re eleven days into 2008, and I haven’t broken any resolutions yet. Then again, I haven’t made any. Resolutions tend to break pretty quickly. I have better luck just calling ’em “goals”. The big goal this year is to start and finish the new CD. Working title is “Dogspeed”. (There’s a nice Garageband demo of the song in the player on my Music page. Have a listen.)
The next band show isn’t until March 22. We’ll be at the East Village Coffee Lounge again in Monterey. Before that, I have a few nice solo things happening at the end of next month up near Grass Valley. Complete details on those are on my Shows page.
Here on the web site, I’ve spruced up every page a little: New photos in the Gallery, a couple of new articles on the Press page, and some nods to local stores selling my CD on the Music page. There’s also a live cut of “Good God Man How Big a Car Do You Need” at the bottom of the Shows page. Below this entry, you’ll also find info on two new podcasts: Songs and Stories #20 is a recap of the benefits we played last Fall, and Songs and Stories #21 is an interview with the Canadian trio The Wailin’ Jennys.
Lots of cool stuff on the to-do list this year. Just remember: They’re “goals”, not “resolutions”.
Now, onto day #12.
