Remember a few years ago when we couldn’t go anywhere or play anywhere? Seems like yesterday, and it also seems like ten years ago. One thing I really missed was the whole festival scene, just lots and lots of great bands and hanging with lots and lots of great friends.
The Redwood Mountain Faire at Roaring Camp in Felton is THE local festival. It’s held every year – global pandemics notwithstanding – the first weekend in June. I played a few times when they first rebooted it, and I emcee’d a couple of stage right before the big covid shutdown.
This year, we were invited back. We headline the Henfling’s Stage as a trio, and had one of our absolute easiest and best sets ever – having great sound support made it effortless. We also got to spend the bulk of the day playing, watching our friend’s bands play and just hangin’.
Big thanks to Traci for bringing us back, and to what seemed like 200 volunteers who kept the whole weekend running like a machine. Much appreciated!!!
