It’s awesome and humbling to have talented friends. John Begley (one of said friends) and I will The Haute Enchilada this Saturday in a split bill with our pals Laura Strange and Stephanie Madrigal.
John and I played KPIG Radio’s “Please Stand By” on Sunday to promote the show. Richard Newman, of Newman Media Works, called the night before and offered to shoot the whole set. Totally a spontaneous thing. (Richard also produced the live videos for “She’s My Superpower” and “She’s More Connected” earlier this year.)

This is the first of what will likely be three (or at least two) videos: A new take on my cell phone song, “Hang It Up”, from the “Dogspeed” record.
Richard shot this with a GoPro Hero4 mounted to the studio door, along with a handheld that he used to duck peer around corners with as we played. Richard quickly cut this together – again, this was only a few days ago – mixed the soundboard audio in with just a dash of the camera sound, and voila. Fun new video. Again, talented friends. Somewhere I went right.
