I hit both ends of the Monterey Bay a few days back. On Saturday, I crashed my pal Derek Bodkin’s “Hovering Breadcat” show down in Monterey, doing a guest set and sitting in with the band for a bit. The next morning, I headed up to Boulder Creek to play and chat on “Sunday Morning Live with Tina Davey.” Here’s the entire interview:

I hadn’t been at the station since the “five years of shelter in place” (heh…slightly exaggerated) when I sat in on Sam Peacock’s afternoon drive-time show. I had a blast chatting with Tina (and station manager Bruce Bellochio.) Kicked things off with my tune “Highway 17” – which always tends to get folk’s attention – and then I played three songs from the upcoming “Welcome Back: A Collection” release including the title track, “Day Drinking Days,” and “We’re the Elders Now.”
Little independent, volunteer stations like KBCZ are super special. And I’m always humbled and happy whenever a chance to play on one of these comes along. Thanks again to Tina, Bruce, and everyone who supports KBCZ.
