I always say the real benefit of playing music is the friends I’ve made along the way. Case in point: I shared a show with Steve Kritzer at The Ugly Mug in Soquel many years ago. Fast forward a few years, and we had several cowrites and lots of gigs under our belts.
These days, we do one annual show, and it’s always one of the absolute highlights of the my musical year: Steve and I participate in a holiday fundraiser for St. Joseph’s Family Center in Gilroy.
Here’s our 2019 set – we also just played a few weeks ago. This particular set was captured on video Lou Pruss, with our pal Eric Behlmer at the help doing the fab audio engineering.
The set includes originals from Steve (“Giving Your Love Away”), two from me (“The Krampus Comes Out Tonight” and “No More Tequila For Santa”) a Steve/Michael cowrite (“It’s All About Love”), and a cover of John McCutecheon’s “Christmas In the Trenches”. I hope you enjoy this set. It was a particularly special night.
And if you’re able and so motivated, St. Joseph’s Family Center can use donations this year more than ever. Thanks for watching.
