We foster a lot of critters for AFRP, but sometimes a particular animal just captures everyone. Especially when she looks like a fuzzy brown cotton ball and is just stupid cute. “Tink” was around a month or so back. As you might guess from the pics below, she got more than a little attention (and a “flood” of applications coming our way) from the AFRP web site.
Editor’s Note: In this instance, “15” counts as a “flood.
A month went by, and I finally asked my darling wife if she was too busy to cold call the applicants, or if she was just stalling. It was the latter. Not that I was complaining. I was sorta smitten, too, despite my anti-small-dog prejudice. We finally decided that we did NOT need four dogs. (Three is already kind of silly.)
Lots of people have asked me “do you still have that cute little brown dog”?, so here’s a quick follow-up: Tink is living with a nice retired couple in Monterey on about an acre of land. (An acre. In Monterey. We were hoping they’d adopt us, too, but to no avail unfortunately.) Our only reservation letting Tink go to these folks were that this very nice couple takes care of a few local feral cats and that Tink might scare them away – or vice versa. As the photos show, however, even feral cats cannot resist her charms.
